International Conference on Oriental Carpets: Links: "Salon-style moderated discussions with a scholarly bent, other useful resources and comprehensive links page."
Is Steve Price using the ICOC to puff up his own site?
On the ICOC site for which he is the webmaster Price writes of Turkotek:
"Salon-style moderated discussions with a scholarly bent, other useful resources and comprehensive links page."
Scholarly bent? They write that green wool comes from green sheep and that is scholarly?

Galerie ArabesQue: "Kizyl Ajak"
Michael Craycraft and www.Gallery-Arabesque.com get some really interesting pieces. this Kizyl Ajak Torba is a good example.

My Old friend Jim Allen started a discussion board. It is developing into good discussion and good pictures. Jim has been focusing on Turkmen rugs and carpets so far. He has some interesting things to say and the Tekke Torba parts are the best so far.

Afshin Nejad has a great site that is one of the most popular site on Persian Carpets. It features a good discussion board as well as information on Persian Rugs.

Oriental Rug Notes by Barry O'Connell
One thing I find rather discouraging is how important Google is to web traffic. I can increase my Page Rank if I start removing links to other sites. I do not know of any site with more information on Oriental Rugs and Carpets but if you search Persian Carpet in Google I am not even first page. I am not going to give in I am just going to make my site as useful as possible and sooner or later the search engines will catch up.

Best wishes,
Barry O'Connell

I have not had a lot of time to write about Oriental Rugs lately. In the last few weeks I have not had the mind to update My Notes on Oriental Rugs.

It goes in streaks for me. The more aggravated I am the more I write. Lately things have been too good.
